Clinic · Molecular Tumour Board

Every molecular report goes to a physician-led board

Molecular tumour boards exist at a handful of Indian centres, and most patients never get one. KPCIRC runs one from day one — for its own patients, per case for outside patients and doctors, and white-labelled to partner hospitals.

From question to answer to action

Consultation

Full history, examination and review of all prior imaging, pathology and treatment records.

Molecular testing

The specific assay is named and ordered via OnKommon — one comprehensive profile, not sequential single tests.

Board review

Every molecular report is reviewed at the next scheduled physician-led board.

Result consultation

The plan is explained in your language, in writing, with family included where you consent.

Onward pathway

A warm hand-off to a partner for surgery, radiation or imaging — with the appointment already made.

The board and its output

How it runs

The board is physician-led and scheduled, not discretionary. A report that sits in an inbox becomes a clinical delay, so review happens at the next sitting.

  • Chaired by the lead oncologist
  • Computational and clinical members both attend
  • Outside cases accepted per case
  • White-label sittings for partner hospitals

What the board produces

  • A ranked, evidence-cited therapy plan with the rationale for each option and what would change it
  • Trial matching, where a biomarker-matched trial is open here or elsewhere
  • Access and affordability context, including biosimilar and generic routes
  • A written summary handed to the patient and copied to the referring doctor with consent

Precision & medical oncology consultations

Patients arrive at every stage — newly diagnosed and deciding, mid-treatment and not responding, or seeking a second view before committing.
