Nothing here is advice for you
This website cannot tell you whether you have cancer, whether a treatment is right for you, or what your prognosis is. It is written for a general reader, not for your case.
An emergency is an emergency
KPCIRC is an outpatient centre. It does not provide emergency or inpatient care. Severe breathlessness, chest pain, uncontrolled bleeding, a fever during chemotherapy or a sudden change in consciousness means going to the nearest emergency department now, not waiting for a reply to a message.
Who carries clinical responsibility
A recommendation issued by one of our boards is advisory. Your treating physician retains clinical responsibility and signs the plan into their own record. Where we are the treating team, the named clinician who signs your plan carries that responsibility.
No system decides anything on its own
No algorithm, model or automated process makes a clinical decision here. Every test is ordered by a named clinician, every interpretation is reviewed by one, and every report is signed by one.
No outcome is claimed
No cure rate, survival benefit or success rate is claimed anywhere on this site, and none may be inferred. Indian law restricts what a clinical establishment may say about cancer treatment in an advertisement, and we hold to it.
This is a draft. It describes how we actually work and is written against the Indian instruments that apply, but it has not yet been settled by a lawyer. Anything in square brackets is a value we are waiting on rather than one we have invented.
